It is that time of year...time to register for Kindergarten! If you have a child who is attending kindergarten next year, keep reading! Registration for Kindergarten at our elementary schools for the 2019 – 2020 school year will be held from January 28, 2019 - January 31, 2019, during school hours. Please call our school secretary, Sandra Bazinet, at 231-6652 to schedule a registration appointment. The appointment will take approximately 15-20 minutes. If you are new to Smithfield, please call central office at 401-231-6606 (ext. 0) to confirm your child’s “home” school prior to scheduling a registration appointment. The Smithfield Education Foundation is hosting an ‘Open House’ Meeting on Monday, January 14, 2019, at 4pm in the Smithfield High School Media Center. Come learn about the Smithfield Education Foundation’s mission and how we support the Smithfield Public Schools by awarding grants to teachers. Our One and Done Fundraiser was a huge success! Thank you to Amy Antunes and Elaina LaVallee for all their hard work planning and organizer the fundraiser and to all who purchased tickets. We exceeded our goal of $15,000 to fully find the PTA and provide incredible support to the school!

Reading buddies is a time for student to engage with an older or younger friend and play the role of teacher or learner. In this case, our first graders were the teachers!
