The store is open multiple times throughout the year and is currently open until January 31, 2026.

School Store Days 

The Fifth Grade student council runs the school store which is open Monday, Wednesday, and Friday.  Each grade has a day to shop.  Items are from 25 cents to $3.  Students may spend up to $4 at the store each week.  Reach out with any questions.

Shopping Days:

Monday-Kindergarten and Third Grade

Wednesday-First and Fourth Grade 

Friday-Second and Fifth Grade

If we have no school on any day, shopping is moved to the next day.

Tuesday, February 24, 2026-Community Values Conversation from 6:30-8:30 PM

The Town of Smithfield is inviting families, residents, and community members to a Community Values Conversation on Tuesday, February 24, from 6:30–8:30 PM at the East Smithfield Neighborhood Center.

This is a relaxed, interactive evening focused on listening and sharing—not a formal meeting. Community members will have the chance to talk with one another about what they value most about Smithfield, what makes it a good place to raise a family, and what they hope for the town in the years ahead.

No experience or preparation is needed. All are welcome to attend, listen, and take part in the conversation.

Friday, March 13, 2026-LaPerche Family Dance from 5:30-9:30 

The LaPerche Family Dance Theme is March Madness and will take place at Rhodes On The Pawtuxet, 60 Rhodes Pl, Cranston, RI 02905.  All students and their families are invited to attend.  See the flyer below for more details, or visit the Cheddar Up link:

If the dance tickets are a hardship for your family, please complete the Cheddar Up form, and then when it comes to payment options, click PAY A DIFFERENT WAY and click CASH OR CHECK. You will be added to the spreadsheet as paid. Email Mrs. Dorsey at jdorsey@smithfield-ps.org that the tickets are a hardship, and the PTA would be happy to cover the cost for your family. We all struggle at different times, and we are here to support each other.
