#Engage, Energize,& Educate

April 2nd, 2026

Dear Families,

Our students in grades 3,4, and 5 completed the English Language Arts RICAS state assessments on March 31st and April 1st, and we are incredibly proud of the effort they demonstrated. Throughout both sessions, we witnessed outstanding stamina, focus, and perseverance as students worked thoughtfully through each task. We look forward to reviewing the results when they are released in the fall, and we are confident that their hard work will be reflected in their growth and achievement.

There is NO SCHOOL on Friday, April 3rd in observance of Good Friday. We look forward to welcoming all students and staff to school on Monday, April 6th.

Caught Being Kind

Here are some students who were caught being kind recently: James Duquette,  Ivan Williams,  Ella Plouffe,  Weston Bardol,Vincent Maroney,  Julien Dionne,  Max Dubeck,  Izzy DeBerardis,Amelia Accardi and Seth Borden.

Attendance Matters

Regular school attendance is essential to your child’s academic success and overall well-being. We kindly ask for your partnership in ensuring that your child is in school each day when they are well and able to attend. Arriving on time helps students start their day prepared, confident, and ready to learn alongside their peers. Whenever possible, please try to schedule appointments outside of school hours to minimize missed instructional time. Consistent attendance and punctuality make a meaningful difference in your child’s progress, and we appreciate your support in helping them build strong habits for success.

A Message From Our PTO

We hope everyone enjoyed their Student Choice event this weekend!

60° days have us looking forward to and planning for our field day activities! The PTO covers the cost of the inflatable rental and the Kona Ice truck for that day! Funds raised from our PTO family memberships help to cover these costs. Our goal for this year was 250 memberships. Unfortunately, we only have around 100 at this time. Please consider signing up! Single and multi-year options are available.

A Message From Our Second Grade Team

We are so excited to share that members of the Bryant University lacrosse team will be visiting our school on Fridays to read with all of our Second Grade classes! A few players will be joining us each week to read stories, connect with students, and help foster a love of reading. As part of their visits, they will also introduce students to a new reading series that students will have the opportunity to take home and enjoy after each session. This special partnership is a wonderful opportunity for our students to engage with positive role models while building their literacy skills. We are so grateful to the Bryant lacrosse team for taking the time to be part of our school community!

A Message From Our Third Grade Team

Birds of a Wooney will visit PVES on April 9th and 10th. Birds of A Wooney provides  educational programs geared towards our third graders to develop an environmentally friendly education that supports and promotes sustainable stewardship of our natural resources.  These programs are continuously updated to align with state and national curriculum requirements.
