First Spirit Day!!

On Friday, September 14th, we will have our first spirit day. The student council has chosen Crazy Hair Day! We can’t wait to see how creative the students will be!

Student Reporters Wanted!!

Starting with our September newsletter, I would like to include a section from the student’s perspective. Therefore, I am looking for student reporters! If your child is interested in writing an article for the LaPerche newsletter, simply have him/her reach out to me about an idea. Then, your child can type the article and submit it to me via email by September 18th. (jdorsey [at] smithfield-ps [dot] org) Topics can include anything your child is interested in! 

Please Dress in Layers!!

Our wonderful school continues to be quite hot inside the classrooms. Please dress your child in layers and send him/her to school with a water bottle! Even when it feels cool outside, our classrooms are warm! Thanks for your help!

Picture Day is Thursday September 20th!

Due to our NECAP testing schedule we had to change our Picture Day at LaPerche. Come ready to smile on Thursday, September 20th!

Volunteer Training on Thursday at 10:00

Would you like to volunteer at LaPerche this year?  We certainly hope you do!!  Our first volunteer training will be held on Tuesday, September 6th at 10:00am.  Please call Mrs. Cerullo at 231-6652 if you plan to attend.  Hope to see you there!

Summer Packets are Due Friday!

Just a reminder that all summer packets are due Friday, August 31st!!  Any student who completes and returns his/her summer packet by Friday will be invited to our Celebration Breakfast!   Thank you to the PTA for sponsoring the breakfast!!

August 22, 2012-One Week To Go!

Can you believe we are one week away?  The educators at LaPerche are looking forward to seeing all of our students on Tuesday, August 28th!  We will have our first Morning Community Meeting starting at 8:50 so don't be late!  I am looking forward to meeting each of you.

Raymond C. LaPerche Elementary School is one of four elementary schools in the Smithfield Public School system. Our school is dedicated to Raymond C. LaPerche, a former teacher, principal and superintendent in the Smithfield Public Schools for 41 years. LaPerche first opened its doors in 1968 and presently serves students in kindergarten to grade five.
