Updates and Reminders--May 2018

Reminders and Updates from LaPerche:

  • Tomorrow the third, fourth and fifth graders are heading to the orchestra!  Students are invited to bring their recorders on the trip to play with the orchestra.  If you are chaperoning, you can meet us at the Vets Auditorium for the 11:30 concert or meet us at school for the 10:30 departure and follow the bus.
  • All field trip permission slips and lunch request forms for our trips to Mystic Aquarium and PawSox are overdue. We are still missing over 50 forms.  Please return the permission slips and lunch forms ASAP and reach out to your child’s teacher if you need a new set. Thank you!
  • Volunteer training is scheduled for Wednesday, May 23 at 8:20 and again at 3:00.  Please join us if you plan to volunteer at LaPerche and have not completed it yet.
  • Reminder that there is no school on Monday, May 28 for Memorial Day. Check out the Smithfield Town website for information about a Memorial Day service being held at Deerfield Park.
Please visit the LaPerche School website for all of the upcoming events!

Raymond C. LaPerche Elementary School is one of four elementary schools in the Smithfield Public School system. Our school is dedicated to Raymond C. LaPerche, a former teacher, principal and superintendent in the Smithfield Public Schools for 41 years. LaPerche first opened its doors in 1968 and presently serves students in kindergarten to grade five.
