Thank you for your help making the Walk-a-Thon a success!

Congratualtions to our incredible team of Intensive Special Education (ISE) paraprofessionals for winning the Horace Mann Crystal Apple Award for excellence today. The team was nominated by their colleagues at LaPerche with this letter:
The 4 paraprofessionals in the Integrated Special Education room have been an outstanding team since 2006. They are responsible for the daily routines, care and education for the severe/profound students at LaPerche. Although their position is physically and mentally demanding, they are amazing role models for their positive attitudes and outlook each and every day. They are among the most dedicated and nurturing staff members we have had the pleasure to work with every day. Mrs. Lauren Giroux, Mrs. Lorna Fossa-Moretti, Mrs. Cheryl Mattson and Mrs. Kathy England have an unparalleled level of understanding of the needs and demands of the students in their classroom. It isn’t often that there is an opportunity to recognize the dedication and professionalism that is displayed every day, so we are proud to nominate the team of paraprofessionals in the ISE.
The PARCC Spring 2015 testing schedule for LaPerche can be found under the "Parent Info" tab at the top of this website. Once there click on "School Newsletter" to access the testing schedule. Along with the testing schedule you will find a list of frequently asked questions surrounding the PARCC and procedures for students who refuse to participate. As always, feel free to call or email Mrs. Dorsey with any questions at 231-6652 or jdorsey [at] smithfield-ps [dot] org.
Are you thinking about summer yet? At LaPerche we are because we are planning a fabulous summer camp which will run from Monday, June 29 through Thursday July 2 from 8:00-4:00 and be held at LaPerche. Starting today you can register your rising first through sixth grader at campinvention.org. Older students can also be counselors in training. Until March 4 we are only opening the camp to LaPerche students.
