The staff at LaPerche is excited to welcome our first through fifth grade and ISE students back to school on Tuesday, September 1.
Our Kindergarten classes will have a staggered start.
In order to provide your kindergarten child with an opportunity to learn the routines and begin to navigate the classroom, the school year will begin for Kindergarten students as follows:
· On Tuesday, September 1st and Wednesday, September 2nd, half of each class will attend school. This will allow an opportunity for students to begin to learn the routines and expectations in a smaller setting. On Tuesday and Wednesday ONLY, Kindergarten students and their families are invited to school at 9:30. Students will remain at school for the day and be dismissed at the regluar time, 3:20.
· All Kindergarten students will have their first full day together as a class on Thursday, September 3rd. Kindergarten start time for Thursday is the same as the rest of the school. Students can be dropped off starting at 8:20 with Morning Meeting beginning at 8:45.
All kindergarten students were sent a letter in the mail letting them know their start date. Please email Mrs. Dorsey @ jdorsey [at] smithfield-ps [dot] org if you do not recieve your letter by Tuesday, August 18. Thank you!
