The mission of R.C. LaPerche Elementary School, as an inclusive learning community devoted to high standards and best teaching practices for all students, is to inspire life-long learning and to develop responsible, self-confident children capable of effective communication and problem solving, through a collaboration of parents, teachers, students, and the community, which fosters a safe, respectful environment, recognizing diversity and individuality.

Happy New Year! School Reopens on Monday, January 4!

The LaPerche Faculty and Staff look forward to seeing everyone on Monday, January 4 as school reopens after the winder break!  We plan to return to school full of new energy and a fresh excitement for teaching and learning!  We can't wait to see our students!

Town Meeting--Tuesday, December 22 at 9:30

 Plan to join us for our second Town Meeting at 9:30 on Tuesday, December 22! You don't want to miss it!  

The Town Meeting will be hosted by our Principal for the Day, Second Grader, Abby Marzetta!

Polar Express--All Aboard!

LaPerche 1st and 2nd graders are invited to wear their PJ’s and join the Polar Express as it takes off from school tomorrow, Friday, December 18! First and second graders will enjoy hot chocolate as they watch the Polar Express movie.  Students are invited to bring a pillow and blanket to sit on during the movie. All Aboard!!

November Spirit Day--PJ Day--Wednesday, November 18, 2015

 The November Student council has chosen PJ Day as their spirit day!  Students are welcome to wear PJ's to school on Wednesday, November 18.  Please no slippers or pants that are too long.

Raymond C. LaPerche Elementary School is one of four elementary schools in the Smithfield Public School system. Our school is dedicated to Raymond C. LaPerche, a former teacher, principal and superintendent in the Smithfield Public Schools for 41 years. LaPerche first opened its doors in 1968 and presently serves students in kindergarten to grade five.
