A link to the school supply lists by grade level can be found under the "Parent Info" link at the top of this page.

Summer Learning-July and August 2013

Summer reading lists are now on the district home page and include independent reading activities to go along with summer reading.
Also, each student was sent home with a summer learning packet. In order to attend the outdoor fun festival students must return the packet and three independent reading activities from the summer reading list by September 13th.
If you are looking for additional work, we recommend the Summer Bridge workbooks. At the top of the book there will be two grades listed. Choose the book that represents the grade your child is leaving and the one she is entering. For example, my daughter is going into third grade so I would choose the 2/3 book. You can get these books online for $10-$15.
For math fluency practice, we recommend signing your child up at xtramath.org. It is a free program which will help your child master his math facts. If your child can answer the fact in under three seconds, he has mastered it. It took me about three minutes to sign my three children up for the program and the practice sessions are short, just a few minutes long. The program will show you which facts your child has mastered and which he still needs to work on.
