Please join us on Monday, December 2 at 6:30 for our next PTA meeting!  PTA meetings are a great opportuinty to find out about all of the upcoming events, talk with other LaPerche parents and to share your ideas!!

School Improvement Team Meeting--Wednesday, November 20 at 3:30

We are looking for parents and community members to join the School Improvement Team (SIT) for 2013-2014.  The team, which will consist of LaPerche educators, parents and community members, will work together towards the common goal of overall academic improvement and success for every LaPerche student.  If you are interested in joining the committee, please email Mrs. Bazinet at sbazinet [at] smithfield-ps [dot] org. Veteran's Day Celebration--Thursday, November 7 at 9:00

We invite any LaPerche student who has an active or retired service member in his or her life to invite that service member to to LaPerche for a coffee social and flag raising ceremony at 9:00 on Thursday, November 7.  Please email Mrs. Bazinet at sbazinet [at] smithfield-ps [dot] org if your child would like to being a service member. Everyone is invited to our flag raising ceremony at 9:30 in the front of the school.

October 23rd--6:30 PTA Meeting--Join us to hear from Rhode Island Department of Education Representative Mary Ann Schnider about school rankings and the PARCCC assessment

Town Meeting--Tuesday, October 22 at 2:15

Our first Town Meeting will be held on Tuesday, October 22 at 2:15.  Mrs. Clough's second graders, the entire 4th grade and the September and October student council will be presenting.  All are welcome to join us!!

Raymond C. LaPerche Elementary School is one of four elementary schools in the Smithfield Public School system. Our school is dedicated to Raymond C. LaPerche, a former teacher, principal and superintendent in the Smithfield Public Schools for 41 years. LaPerche first opened its doors in 1968 and presently serves students in kindergarten to grade five.
