Crystal Apple Award--April 30, 2015

Congratualtions to our incredible team of Intensive Special Education (ISE) paraprofessionals for winning the Horace Mann Crystal Apple Award for excellence today.  The team was nominated by their colleagues at LaPerche with this letter:

The 4 paraprofessionals in the Integrated Special Education room have been an outstanding team since 2006. They are responsible for the daily routines, care and education for the severe/profound students at LaPerche. Although their position is physically and mentally demanding, they are amazing role models for their positive attitudes and outlook each and every day. They are among the most dedicated and nurturing staff members we have had the pleasure to work with every day. Mrs. Lauren Giroux, Mrs. Lorna Fossa-Moretti, Mrs. Cheryl Mattson and Mrs. Kathy England have an unparalleled level of understanding of the needs and demands of the students in their classroom. It isn’t often that there is an opportunity to recognize the dedication and professionalism that is displayed every day, so we are proud to nominate the team of paraprofessionals in the ISE.
